Kakitama Udon|Japanese Udon Arrange🥢

Ingredients per person

  • Udon1 bundle
  • Beaten egg1
  • Chopped green onionsas needed
  • 【A】 (Soup Base)
  • Mentsuyu(3x concentrae)50ml
  • Water300ml
  • 【B】
  • Potato starch (or cornstarch)1 tsp
  • Water 1.5 tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a pot, add A (mentsuyu and water) and bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and add the B mixture (potato starch + water). Turn the heat to low and stir gently until the soup thickens. Then slowly pour in the beaten egg.

  2. Let the egg cook without stirring until set, then give it a gentle stir.

  3. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and cook the udon noodles according to the package instructions.

  4. Place the cooked udon in a bowl, pour the egg-thickened soup over the top, and garnish with chopped green onions.
